Edward Andrew Love was born and raised in Florence, where he graduated from South Florence High School. When Ed attended the Military College of South Carolina, The Citadel, he was President of the Rugby Club, a member of the Summerall Guards, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice in 2000. He received his Juris Doctor from Mercer University in 2003. At Mercer, Ed made the Dean's List, was a coach of the Moot Court team, on the Moot Court Board, and was Chairman of the Honor Court.

A lawyer shows respect to his clients when he takes the time to fully understand their objectives and to fully and promptly communicate what is happening with their cases.

As an intern with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), Love inspected fraudulent car titles and gained valuable hands-on experience with investigative techniques in the auto theft division. While in law school, he clerked with the Charleston County Public Defender's Office.

From 2002 to 2005, Ed practiced law in Macon, Georgia with the distinguished firm of Almand & Wiggins. While there he practiced in state and federal courts, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. His focus was on litigation, particularly in the areas of planning, zoning, land use, state and federal civil rights claims, contract disputes, construction bond disputes, personal injury, and state and federal criminal law.

After the birth of his first child, Ed returned to Florence where he grew up and has practiced with the Willcox Law Firm since then. Love is a member of the South Carolina and Georgia bars, the Georgia trial lawyers associations, and the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorney's Association.

Love's interests include hiking, fishing, carpentry, and helping his son grow up.
